Many parents of gifted children wonder if you can reverse the effects of under-challenging educational programs their child is exposed to-perhaps daily? Read More

Parenting gifted children
Interestingly enough, reading this article, my six year old is probably gifted, but her teacher keeps insisting she just isn't paying attention and is just spoiled because she is an only child. If her teacher has already written her off, what next?
Parenting Gifted Children
Hello, thanks for sharing.
One of the best things I could recommend is to see about contacting a healthcare professional to have your daughter assessed as a gifted learner. I highly recommend working with someone who is an expert in the field of Gifted Education. This helps a lot. This person may be able to intervene with school officials as well.
Also, you might check into some of the websites in my posts for other ideas and materials. And really read up on the topic of Gifted Learners. This will give you a deeper profile and enhance your conversations with both healthcare professionals and educators.
I have written several other posts over the last 2 years on this topic and covered it from a few different angles. There may be something in there for you too. Good luck.
Be Well.
