Why on earth did they expect that?

Step families lumpy, not even stephen- so true but sometimes hurtful

Thank you for the article. Yes, stepfamilies are "lumpy". With our kids having different custody schedules, co-parents, and Grandparents, it can make it difficult for kids to feel things are even steven. We try to keep things even stephen in our home but when one kid comes over with one or two new toys each week, the other two certainly notice. This leaves our other two feeling jealous of the custody arrangement and the new toys.
All three of our kids are in the same house 6 out of 7 days, but one only spends half days for half the week.
Stepfamilies are rough!
