Panic disorder
Thanks for the info.
I really liked the flow chart. It explains the panic process really well.
I am so tired of being afraid
I am so tired of being afraid of going anywhere. I am on the verge of not driving anymore. I have suffered with this for over 10 years.
That is so me. The no way
That is so me. The no way out...I am 36 and now just started to become Agouraphobic..Had a tiny attack at the court house.I feel tired and week today, legs hurt from tencing up. Going to see a Hypnotherapist today.. Maybe, just maybe she can help.
Panic disorder with agoraphobia
Your article is right on about specific phobias. Mine is that I was afraid to go to bed at night. As I begin to lay down on the bed, I started to think that I will not be able to breathe. I immediately would get out of bed and go sit on the couch until I fell asleep from exhaustion. I went to a psychologist who helped me develop some self-control over my phobia.
Great chart by the way.
There's hope!
I was diagnosed with panic disorder fifteen years ago and was prescribed a low-dose of xanax to help me. Although the med worked MOST of the time, I still occasionally had level 10 panic attacks but was able to function.
Four months ago I decided to see how I would manage without medication so I stopped taking it. Cold turkey. It was brutal for a month and I felt alot of anxiety. I suffered through and now I am med-free and panic-free. Prayer was a HUGE factor in my healing!
