Poem: What Psychologists wonder about on Memorial Day

In Memoriam

Sad but true
there are just wars
though not nearly as many
as you have died for

But still enough that
simply calling your death
needless.
    in principle
is not an honest option.

admittedly
some of you have died
in vain.
So not just thanks,

but sorry.

And billions more will
unless and until we find
a universal definition of wisdom
a way to lighten and loosen
The Iron Grip of Stupidity.

In other words a definition of
butthead other than someone
We butt heads with.
