A while ago, I published a blog about printing guns from home computers. At that time, several respondents said that this was far into the future and may never be a possibility.
Late last week, a plastic gun, printed from a computer, was successfully fired.
The pistol isn't very effective. Not yet. But the pace at which this has gone from an idea to a workable prototype has been rapid. A serviceable revolver made cheaply from a home computer can't be far off.
