Are Women Scapegoated More than Men?

Sarah Palin is on the front of the New York Times today, "looking ahead" to the left, go figure. Even after the Republican defeat, the media continues to be fascinated by this strong lady. Read More

It certainly is, mostly a

It certainly is, mostly a different perception representation for women in politics, we have it here in Australia too.

It has sent me off, merrily on a research spiral for gender stereotyping/perceptions...

Robin Morgan writes well on female political fair game..it is interesting reading, here is her Hillary Clinton article:

It's a very interesting world we live in Dr. Gabriela !

Your question is "do you feel

Your question is "do you feel that"... In science we don't "feel" anything.

Nice try Gabriela, but I saw absolutely no proof of your assertion. All you did was talk about one woman, one place.

The actual irony is that... the reason we find the Sarah Palin attacks standing out so much in our mind... its because its ussually not NORMAL for women to be attacked.

Its ironic, but you're proving the counter-point. We're so used to men being blamed, attacked, scape-goated, that when a woman gets that treatment... it draws our attention. We've gotten used to that happening to men as so normal, that our mental filters don't even let it through.

A Zen saying "deal with it"... Its part of becoming equal. Equal rights, means equal criticism. There was a transitional period where to encourage women to become stronger, there was a sort of an unspoken veto on criticizing women. A study recently proved there's such an unspoken veto on criticizing blacks and minorities.

As groups get more acclimated in their new-found rights, the no-criticism curtain gets lifted... Sorry bout that ;)

Btw: I have high respect for Sarah Palin... Even though i'm not a conservative, I really respect her strength.
