In Praise of Michael

I believe he truly loved his kids and tried his best to be a great dad to him. Maybe he didn't always do the right thing by them, like having them live an extremely sheltered life. They also did not attend school, were home schooled. On the other hand, what choice did he have. With all of the rumors about him, his kids would undoubtably be teased by the other kids. I wonder what kind of future his kids have. I hope they are able to go to school like the children of other famous people (Obama's kids come to mind) and have a successful school experience. Maybe his kids now have a chance to become fully functioning adults. He never had the chance. He never was able to attend college/higher education. It would be great if his kids could enjoy that experience.

Plastic Surgery

Thank you for writing an article on Michael Jackson's good points. As someone who has read a lot about him, I knew that he had vitiligo.
As for the plastic surgeries, I have never read of any fan of his denying that he had them done. Where in any of the comments to your negative article on Michael Jackson did someone say that he never had plastic surgery? In one of your responses to the comments, you seemed to say that fans were denying that he changed his nose, etc. I could not find anybody above your comment who denied that. No fan will deny he had any surgery. That is just silly.

Here's one comment doing so

Here's some information talking about Michael Jackson's skin disorder, changing faces and most important of all, his carity work.

the commenter goes on to cite several You Tube videos like this one, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjEtpBgeAw0, which make the argument that Jackson's appearance changed naturally.

In the 2003 Martin Bashir interview, and elsewhere, Jackson himself mockingly dismisses the idea that he has had any plastic surgery.

Please take another look...

Yes, I have seen this youtube video as I was reading the other's comments. I just now saw it again. Yes, she does compare photos side by side with lines drawn over his features proving, what,--I'm not even sure. She doesn't compare his original nose in the 70's with the most recent, that is true. So, I'm not really sure what she is saying--that he really didn't change much? (But I like that she said the one thing that hasn't changed is his smile.)

As for the argument that he changed naturally? Where does she make that argument? In fact, near the end (or 3/4 of the way through) she actually does SAY that he did have surgeries!

And as for the Martin Bashir interview, I cannot comment on that yet becuase I have not seen all of it, but I will say that Bashir was known for editing the interview to make Michael look bad.
