.... orwellian. if you can't express your opinions for fear of the law, then we most certainly no longer have free speech. one of the things this country was founded on :(

Most liberals are vying to protect freedom of speech for everyone except Christians. Go figure!! A liberal can say every hateful nasty thing they wish to say about those who think and feel differently than they do. But when their beliefs are challenged or offended, it's then for them to start protesting and being altogether hateful. A movie,it seems,is more apt to receive an Oscar when the name Jesus Christ is misused (as a swear word).
As for addiction: It is a disease of the mind and body brought on by overconsumption or abuse of substances; whether the substance abuse is alcohol or drugs or even food---which leads to obesity and/or diabetes. When a person abuses a substance, he or she is trying to fill some void; whether that void is spiritual or whatever. Anyone can be subjected to addiction; personally or otherwise. And although a person's thinking is affected by addiction, it should not, I believe, be forbidden for anyone to speak their mind by either agreeing or disagreeing as to whether it's a disease.
We're suppose to have freedon of speech, for pete's sake, in this country for everyone; not just for the politically correct.
