Off base
Hillary's comment on the Robert Kennedy was taken completely out of context and blown out of proportion. First off, she was being asked why she was still in the race. She didn't bring it up out of the blue. I don't believe she is as self obsessed as you make her. It was asked of her. She gave historical evidence of past Primaries that went on throughout June--her own husband's, another example which I can't recall at the moment, and Kennedy's. She was in no way insinuating that Obama could or should be assassinated. I believe this comment was even more sensitive because of Ted Kennedy's recent medical complications. The Kennedy name has been in the news as of late. I don't believe the Clintons are as egocentric as you make them out to be. But yes, Hillary Clinton is in a Democratic race so Presidency and such is on her mind. It may even be her number one concern...just as it is Obama's number one concern but I don't hear any complaints about Obama relating everything to his attempt at the White House. There shouldn't be. These people are working hard everyday with a goal in mind.
The Clintons
You don't really mean World War I, do you?
WWI
Yes, I meant WWI -- the comment was made about the author of "My Brilliant Career," the turn-of-the-last-century Australian writer, Sybylla Melvyn(played by Judy Davis in the 1979 movie of that name, Davis' first role).
The Self-Centered World
Stanton, this is an excellent point and it's similar to something I wrote about earlier...Earth Around the Sun. I would also argue that this kind of self-centeredness is common among most people and that for any meaningful personal and spiritual growth to occur, it must be changed as I discuss in the article.

I agree. Hillary Clinton's
I agree. Hillary Clinton's unbecoming desperation for the presidency, including her explicit appeal to white voters even as she whines about sexism, embarrasses me as a woman. Someone who is so self-absorbed (pathologically optimistic?) is ill-equipped to lead the nation.
