People age 65 and older who claimed to work out once a week had a 40% lower chance of dying than inactive seniors over a 12-year period, report Swedish researchers. Even those who exercised less than once a week had a 28% lower risk of dying than did their couch-bound peers-proving something is quite a bit better than nothing.

The use of Viagra has grown more than three-fold among young men since it arrived on the market, suggesting increased use of the drug as an enhancement or recreational agent. Overall use of the drug increased 84% from 1998 to 2002. Despite the surge in use among younger men, those aged 56 and older still get the majority of Viagra prescriptions.

Need to relieve foot problems? You'd do just as well buying a prefabricated orthotic insert from a drug store as having one custom made. They suggest that unless the device is being used to treat a very specific biomechanical abnormality, there's no justification for custom orthoses.
