Are you genetically predisposed to leave your mate?

SPLITTING GENES

More grounds for divorce: A study of 8,000 identical and fraternal male twins revealed that the identical pairs shared a greater propensity to end their marriages than did the fraternal twins, who have less genetic material in common. Mark Lyons, Ph.D., who led the Boston University researchers, believes that divorce could be related to factors such as drug abuse, depression and alcoholism, which are also affected by genes. The research, presented at the 10th International Congress on Twin Studies, did not cite a genetic factor in the choice to marry.
