WHAT'S THE NEXT STEP: If you score poorly on the MMSE, consult a physician, advises Small. "Memory clinics are staffed by psychologists and physicians who can prescribe appropriate treatment," he says. "Drug treatment is increasingly popular and effective for Alzheimer's."
