If there are people on your list who would like to understand the opposite sex better (and doesn't that include everyone over age 12?), give them a copy of this book. The title may suggest a spoof, but in fact it's a humorous summary of what is known scientifically about gender differences. Written by Barbara Pease, a training specialist, and Allan Pease, a public speaker and best-selling author, the book makes a solid case for the thesis that men and women are fundamentally different--made so by an evolutionary course that put men in the field looking for meat and women at home gathering berries and looking after the little ones. These differences, the authors assert, are wired into the brain and are not about to be changed by political correctness. Not everyone will be convinced, but all but the most diehard feminists will be entertained.
