The Little Book of Big Questions (Book Review)
Written by children's author Jackie French and illustrated by MarthaNewbigging, this little book really does attempt to answer big questions: How did the universe begin? What happens when you die? Why isn't life fair? French doesn't claim to have all the answers and acknowledges that "the bigger, the question, the more possible answers there are," but she believes that "a bit of an answer is better than none at all." French breaks each big question into smaller ones, and answers each in turn. Newbigging's cartoons amuse as they illustrate the ideas. Although intended for kids aged 8 to 12, this book will interest adults as well. So, why isn't life fair? Good question.
