BREAKTHROUGHS
The first-ever White House Conference on Mental Health, held in June, may change how psychological health is perceived in the United States. Organized by Tipper Gore and attended by Vice President Al Gore, the President and Mrs. Clinton and numerous mental health professionals, the meeting aimed to raise awareness of mental illness and its treatment.
