Surfing the Net, Stuffing Your Face

Hardcore computer buffs aren't especially known for having healthy eating habits--and no wonder. According to the Tufts University Diet & Nutrition Letter, 85 percent of Internet users say they frequently munch while surfing the Web. Their favorite cybersnacks? Popcorn (24 percent of respondents), pretzels (23 percent), and potato chips (17 percent). The survey's sponsor--the American Snack Food Association--must be quivering with joy. In any event, Webheads curious about their nutrient intake should check out the University of Illinois's Nutritional Analysis Tool site (http://spectre.ag.uluc.edu/~food-lab/nat/).
