First homosexuality was dipathologized. Now sexual preference is becoming analtogether fluid phenomenon.
Therapists on the front lines of relationship issues report that they're seeing many well-functioning people shifting smoothly from homosexual couplings to heterosexual ones--and vice versa. Of course, it's already old news that lesbian pairings are a rite of passage on college campuses.
A whole new lexicon is a -minting to catch the ebb and flow of gender preferences. The newest term for former lesbians now in heterosexual relationships is "hasbians." Which prompts us to wonder: shouldn't formerly heterosexual females now in lesbian relationships be called "nubians"?
