Lids together, dreams apart
MEN AND WOMEN
Women's changing role in the workplace may also have an impact in bed. As women leave the house and go to work, their dreams are changing. They now dream more often about their jobs than about their families, reports Monique Lortie-Lussier and colleagues at the University of Ottawa, who analyzed the dream themes of 96 adults. Women's nightlife now more closely mirrors the traditional dream scenarios of men. But many modern wage-earning dads are changing, too. They dream more about wives and kids when they take on additional responsibilities around the house. The upshot: As gender differences in waking life decrease, so do differences in dreams.
