time describing the way you see yourself at work. (If you are not
currently employed, describe the way you see yourself in a recent job, or
in the work you do at home). Then use Scorecard #3 to respond to the
statements accordingto how you see yourself a s romantic partner. Use
Scorecard #4 to respond to the statements according to how you see
yourself as a friend, and, finally, Scorecard #5 to describe how you see
yourself in another social role of your choice--for example, as a parent,
sibling, offspring, etc. (If you wish, you may choose to complete any
three of the four scorecards #2 to #5, and score them accordingly. Or you
may choose to complete all cards for a braoder measure of your Social
Selves.) By taking the test and mailing in your completed scorecards
(along with the survey form on page 76), you can also participate in the
PT/Berkeley Personality Survey and help advance the science of
